About Me

I'm a 17-year certified Elementary educator who specializes in helping struggling readers gain confidence in reading, spelling, and writing. I've been helping dyslexics for the past 7 years.  Many of my students are dyslexic, but this program is beneficial for all readers.  I use an Orton-Gillingham approach for students to learn specific spelling rules. I also use many multi-sensory methods, like games and hands-on activities.  The students will be assessed and placed in a small group that fits their particular learning needs. I use Barton's curriculum and have had great success with students gaining confidence and fluency in reading, spelling, and writing.
